Brief Description:  Questions for Roger about nose ribs

Rand into some issues, so i sent the following questions to Roger again:
So, a picture works best here. On Nose Rib (left wing here) #2, part of the spar is in the way of bottoming out the rib. I can flex the rib around it, but then it's not flush with the web on the other side of the rib that it squeezes in between according to the plans (sheet 6-W-7 dated Dec 7, 2011). Should i be trimming that rib around that piece or flex it and nevermind the separation of the flange on the other side? My guess is trim the rib (pic 1)

The plans say nose ribs #1, #2, and #3 need to be shaped with 40mm top notch and 41mm bottom notch. If you look at the 3rd pic below, the space that the notch would be designated to be is nowhere near 134mm on the #1 nose rib location....in fact it's just a tip of the curve in that spar piece. I'd think that I should be completely trimming off that 8mm end of the node rib and just butt it up against the spar completely so it isn't too long? (pic 2)

One last thing. I screwed up my alignment when I first drilled my spar tip location. I repositioned and redrilled. I don't really think that it would affect strength in a normal case, but due to it being right on the edge of the rear rib flange, I was questioning my shrug-off. I'm about 50/50 on if i should just order another spar tip and be done with it. Opinion? (pic 3)

Roger's answers were:
1. You will need to trim the rib to clear the spar.

2. Yes just trim off the 8mm and butt it up against the spar. Just make sure the nose ribs are all at the same length from the spar to the front of the nose rib.

3. If you don't replace the spar tip, you will need to fill those holes with rivets. I would just fill the holes with rivets.
