Brief Description: Valve seats installed and cyl heads coated
The new valve seats were installed by heating the cyl heads to 550F and cooling the seats in a slurry of dry ice and alcohol which is about -110F. The seats were quickly driven into the pockets in the heads using special tools developed by Magnificent Machine.
Once the seats were installed, the heads were taken to Finishline Coatings for coating with ceramic heat dispersing material on the outside and heat rejecting material on the inside of the combustion chambers and valve heads.
