Major change of plans for the engine induction system. I decided (with Brady's urging) that the Rotec TBI induction wouldn't be adequate for the common plenum, individual intake runner system. I couldn't design a layout to insure good air and fuel distrubution within the confined space available on top of the engine. Fuel injection became the only viable choice. The fuel injection controller will be Microsquirt. I'll use two units for reliability with one unit or the other switch selected. Ignition coils will remain driven by the dual Ford EDIS units. Ignition timing will be controlled by the Microsquirts. Injectors are 15lb capacity positioned to squirt into the inlets of the individual intakes.
Airframe fuel system will need to be changed to accomodate the requirements of fuel injection. Mainly, the fuel pumps and fuel pressure regulator will be replaced.
Also, due to limited space available, and air flow requirements, I'll use a slide throttle on top of the air box with three openings.
