Brief Description:  Installed Turnbuckle in Left Lower Aileron Cable

Cut the aileron cross-over cable in the left wing stub. Installed a cable eye on the end of the cable to the aileron horn using a thimble and sleeve. Installed a second cable eye on the other end of the cable using a cable clamp to hold the cable in place. Connected the turnbuckles on the cross-over cable and attempted to adjust the ailerons to a neutral position. Set each turnbuckle in the center position and found that the ailerons were out of alignment by 1 inch high. Adjusted the cable with the clamp to lengthen the cable by about 5/16 inch. Reconnected the turnbuckles and again adjusted to the center position. The ailerons came up about 1/2 inch high. Considered this within the adjustment range of the turnbuckles. Set the sleeve and crimped it next to the thimble. Used the dremal tool to cut the excess cable next to the sleeve and then put a second crimp on the sleeve.

Connected the bottom aileron cables to the control stick using a clevis and pin secured with a cotter pin. The tension was too high so the turnbuckles were opened up as much as allowed. Stilled appeared to be too tight so I'm going to replace one of the turnbuckle forks with a long one to provide an adjustment range.
