Brief Description: Taped the Edges of the Wing Stubs
Cut two oval shaped patches and split one edge and cut a cross segment forming a T shaped opening. Laid the patches over the thimbles of the lift cables on the right wing stub and glued each in place. Applied a one inch strip of glue on top of the outside wing rib on the right wing stub. Laid 2 inch tape around the outside wing rib and down over the wing tip. Ironed it in place with the small iron. Applied glue under the tape on the outside vertical surface of the wing stub. Ironed the tape down onto the end fabric. Additional time and care was applied to the wing tip to get the tape to lay smooth around the end. Applied a one inch strip of glue on the outside bottom of the wing rib and laid a segment of tape on the glued strip on the bottom of the wing rib and securing it in place using the small iron. Applied a one inch strip of glue on the bottom of the wing rib and ironed the tape onto the bottom of the wing stub.
Repeated the taping process for the left wing stub outer wing rib and trailing edges.
