Brief Description:  Rivet Stitch Right Wing Stub

Laid a segment of 2 inch tape along the inside edge of the right wing stub on the seam on the fuselage. Used the small iron to set the tape in place centered on the seam edge. Marked the rivets holes on the top of the inside rib using a scribe and pencil point. Covered the marked holes with the 1/2 inch wide fiber tape extending at lease one inch beyond each of the end holes. Used the soldering iron to melt each hole open along the tape. Inserted a large headed pop rivet in each hole and secured the fabric to the wing rib. Covered the rivets with a length of 2 inch tape and glued it in place. Repeated the pop rivet stitching process for the bottom rib of the wing stub. Laid a 2 inch tape along the seam where the wing stub fabric overlays the bottom of the fuselage and glued it in place. Secured the top fabric of the wing stub along the outside rib by carefully ironing the edges. Ironed the right wing stub at about 300 degrees. Applied 2 inch tape to the trailing edge of the wing stub. Additional taping will take place during the next work day.
