Brief Description:  Covering the Bottom of the Upper Left Wing

Cleaned the ribs of the marks left from the stitch holes with acetone on the top of the wing. Applied a coat of glue on the leading edge felt on the top side. Turned the wing over and applied glue to the bottom half of the leading edge felt. Removed the pitot assembly from the wing. Measured out a length of material to cover the bottom of the wing. Aligned the trailing edge of the wing and the material and then marked the leading edge where the material falls. Applied glue to the inside of the trailing edge, the wing tip, and the end rib on the wing. Attached the material to the trailing edge of the wing tip. Attached the material along the trailing edge. Smooth the material along the leading edge of the wing. Applied glue along the edge of the material, pulled it tight and then smooth it against the felt. Used the small iron to set the material along the leading edge. Turned the wing over so the top was up. Pulled the material tight over the end rib and attached the fabric to the rib. Trimmed the excess material from the end rib and completed the gluing of the fabric to the rib. Trimmed a segment of scrap material to fit the aileron cutout section. Applied glue to the inside of the aileron cutout and attached the fabric to the ribs. Trimmed the excess material from the aileron cutout segment and finished the attachment. The attachment of the wing tip fabric will have to wait until the next work day.
