Brief Description:  Covered the Bottom of the Upper Right Wing

Cleaned the leading edge with acetone. Applied a coat of contact cement to the leading edge. Laid on the light felt covering over the leading edge smoothing out any wrinkles. Applied a coat of glue to the felt on the leading edge. Used cloth tape to cover the rivet heads, edges, and straps on the top and bottom of the wing. Marked each of the bottom wing ribs every 4 inches. Drilled each of the marked locations with a 1/8 inch drill for rivet stitching. Deburred each of the holes and wiped down each rib with acetone to remove any marks.

Applied a coat of glue around the tip and the top rib of the end of the wing. Cut a triangle piece of fabric and glued it in place next to the aileron cutout. Pulled out a length of fabric covering the bottom of the wing and cut it from the roll. Attached the trailing edge of the fabric to the trailing edge of the wing. Aligned the fabric along the leading edge of the wing and applied a light coat of glue. Ironed the leading edge in place using the small iron. Cut away the excess material over the aileron cutout. Turned the wing over so the top of the wing is up. Reset the fabric on the trailing edge pulling the material tight over the bottom of the wing. Secured the fabric at the end of the wing on the top rib setting it in place with the small iron. Pulled the fabric tight at the wing tip and starting at the leading edge curve ironed it in place smoothing out all wrinkles. The remaining of the wing tip attachment will have to wait till the next work day.
