Brief Description: Rivet Stitched Bottom of Center Wing Section
Glued fabric tape over each of the rivet stitched wing ribs on the top of the center wing section. Glued a run of fabric tape across the top of the center wing section covering the ends of the tapes covering the ribs. Turned the wing over and run fiber tape centered over each of the rivet holes on the wing ribs. Melted each rivet hole with the soldering iron across the bottom of the wing section. Installed pop rivets in each of the stitch holes on the wing bottom. Glued fabric tape over each wing rib with rivet stitching. Glued a run of fabric tape along the leading edge of the wing covering the rib tape ends. Measured a length of fabric tape to fit over the right end of the wing section. Folded the tape in half and creased a center line on the tape. Glued the tape along the end right rib. Using the small iron set the tape along the end of the wing section. Applied glue over the tape and wiped away the excess with a shop towel. Repeated the taping of the left end of the wing section. Measured and cut a length of the fabric tape for the center cutout area. Folded the tape in half and creased the center. Applied glue around the cutout and set the fabric tape on the vertical edge. Worked the fabric tape around the curve setting it in place using the small iron. Applied a light coat of glue over the tape and wiped away the excess with a shop towel. End of day.
