Brief Description:  Covering the Top of the Lower Right Wing

Temporarily mounted the aileron on the wing. Connected the top aileron cable and tighten it to determine the location of the crossing of the cable and the upper fabric. Taped the cable to the rib at the crossing location with black electric tape. Set the wing on its leading edge and leaned it up against the tent. Used a fiber glass rod to determine the point of penetration of the bottom fabric and cut a 1/2 inch slit in the fabric. Tilted the wing forward and put the lower aileron cable through the slit. Cut a 3 inch circle patch and placed it over the cable and slit and glued it in place. Added a 3 by 4 inch patch over the end of the aft spar end. Removed the aileron and placed the wing on the table top side up. Pulled the fabric over the top of the wing and aligned the edges along the front and tip. Applied a line of glue along the leading edge of the wing. Using the small iron set the fabric along the leading edge. Turned the wing over and pulled the fabric tight and set the trailing edge of the fabric against the bottom fabric with the small iron. Added the final segment of fabric at the end of the wing to complete the cover. Glued a 2 inch overlap of the fabric and set it aside to dry. End of day.
