Brief Description:  Finished Covering the Top Left Aileron

Applied the tape to the trailing edge of the aileron using the small iron. Worked the curved end carefully to maintain a smooth covering. Applied glue around and under the edge of the tape and then over it for the length of the aileron. Wiped away the excess glue from the tape with a shop towel. Turned the aileron over in the sawhorse. Applied glue around the front of the aileron and then added a tape. Applied glue under and over the tapes around the front of the aileron. Wiped away the excess glue with a shop towel. Set the aileron aside to dry.

Mixed up some steel epoxy and applied it to each of the wing struts which have oak plugs to glue the plugs to the struts.

Put the lower left aileron on the table and ironed it with the large iron set at 350 degrees. Put the elevator on the horizontal stabilizer in preparation for routing of the top elevator cables. End of day.
