Brief Description:  Started Covering the Lower Left Aileron

Glued down the tapes on the front of the lower right aileron and wiped each tape down with a shop towel. Set the top right aileron on the table with the bottom side up. Set the large iron to 300 degrees and completed the ironing of the bottom side of the aileron. Turned the aileron over and completed ironing the top side. Brought the iron up to 350 degree and ironed the top side again. Turned the aileron over and ironed the bottom side at 350 degree.

Repeated the ironing on the bottom right aileron as above at 300 and 350 degrees. Set the ailerons aside to await painting.

Cleaned the lower left aileron with acetone removing all marks from the frame. Taped up all edges, rivets and gussets with cotton tape. Applied a thin coat of glue around the top side of the aileron and across the front section. Set aside for the glue to dry. Measured the fabric for the bottom of the aileron and cut at the mark. Set the fabric aside. Using a small segment of fabric cut a triangle piece to fit the right end of the aileron. Applied glue on the inside of the ribs on the right end of the aileron and attached the fabric to the end. Applied glue to the inside of the end fabric. End of day.
