Secured the top fabric on the top right aileron along both long edges. Double checked that all of the wrinkles were removed from the fabric. Adjusted as necessary. Set the fabric over the lift side of the aileron and trimmed to size. Trimmed the front edge for a 1 inch overlap and glued the edge down. Set the aileron on the work bench bottom side up. Put the 1/2 inch fiber tape over the stitch holes on each of the ribs. Used the soldering iron to melt each stitch hole in the fiber tape and fabric. Applied pop rivets to each of the stitch locations on the bottom of the aileron. Glued tapes over each line of stitched ribs on the bottom of the aileron.
Turned the aileron over to the top and completed the process described above for stitching the fabric to the aileron. Set the aileron in the saw horse with the trailing edge up. Cut a length of tape and folded it in half to mark the center line. Applied a light coat of glue along the trailing edge. Center the tape over the trailing edge and fixed in place using the small iron. Applied glue under and over the tape along the edge and wiped the excess glue with a shop towel. Applied tapes to the edges of the left end of the aileron.
Set the aileron in the sawhorse with the trailing edge down. Measured two tapes for the front edges of the aileron. Applied a light coating of glue along each of these edges. Centered the tape on each edge and fixed in place with the small iron. Applied glue under and over each tape and removed the excess with a shop towel. Carefully closed each end of the tapes for a smooth finish. This completes the covering of the top right aileron.
I realized that I had miss putting tape on the bottom right aileron's front edges. Mounted the bottom right aileron in the sawhorse with the trailing edge down. Applied a light coat of glue along each edge and tacked a tape along each edge. End of day.
