Drilled a 3/8 inch hole in the front of the left aft strut3 inches down from the fuselage. Slid a rubber grommet onto the 48 inch brake line. Fed the brake line in the hole and fitted the grommet into the hole on the strut. Connected the one end to the left master cylinder and taped the other end of the brake line to the wheel strut. Repeated the same for the right side brake.
Lined up the positions for the remaining mounts for the foot brake peddles. Drilled a 1/4 inch hole at each mount location and installed an anchor bolt at each location. Put a brake peddle on each mount and secured with a lock nut. Cut three additional L brackets from .095 sheet aluminum with a jig saw. Filed the edges smooth and rounded the corners. Marked three positions for drilling with a center punch on each L bracket. The center of each hole is one inch from the other. Cut two T brackets and filed their edges smooth. Used the center punch to mark four holes on each of the T bracket one inch apart. Drilled each with a 1/4 inch drill. Positioned a L bracket at the end of the right master cylinder and marked the pivot point on the foot pan. Drilled the foot pan and install a pivot bolt and then the L bracket. Connected the master cylinder to one arm of the L bracket. Positioned the T bracket above the right brake peddle and marked the pivot point on the foot pan. Drilled and mounted the T bracket on the foot pan. Aligned the right foot peddle and measured the distance from the brake attachment point to the center arm of the T bracket. Constructed a linkage which connected the brake peddle to the T bracket. Constructed a second linkage for the connection from the bottom arm of the T bracket to the top arm of the master cylinder L bracket. Completed another linkage from the left brake peddle to the lower arm of the left side L bracket.
