Brief Description: Design and Fabrication of Caliper Axle Mounting Br
Laid out the caliper with the mounting bracket attached on the stator and measured the distance to the center of the axle. Next take the distance from the axle to the caliper bracket. Lay out a proposed drawing for the axle mounting bracket and check the measurements. Make adjustments for the position of the bolt holes between the caliper bracket and the axle mount. Marked off the design on 1/8 inch flat steel and cut out the bracket using a jig saw. Ground the edges smooth and marked the three holes which will be drilled into the bracket. Drilled each of the holes and mounted the caliper bracket to the axle bracket and slid the assembly on the left axle. Checked alignment and fit and found acceptable. Repeated the process for the right side bracket.
