Brief Description: Design of Caliper Mounting on Landing Gear Axle
Mounted the stator to the left wheel adapter and placed the wheel on the axle. Installed the caliper mounting bracket on the outside of the caliper. Placed the caliper on the stator and measured the distance required for proper clearance to the landing gear strut. This measurement resulted in the requirement for the axle supports to be shortened by 1 1/4 inches on each end. Removed the axle from the landing gear struts leaving the cable brackets attached to the landing gear struts. Cut the 1 1/4 inch from each end of the supports. Fitted the cable brackets back on the end of each support and drilled a 3/16 inch hole to mount the cable bracket to the support end.
