Brief Description: Instrument Panel Cutout for Carb Heat Display
Used the calipers to measure the size of the carb heat display. Marked the back of the panel at the desired location for the display and laid down its dimensions. Drilled a 5/16 hole in the center of the rectangle to start the nibbler. Used a manual nibbler to carefully remove the inside of the rectangle. Attempted to fit the display into the opening and found that it was not quite big enough. Used the nibbler across the bottom of the rectangle to remove about 1/32 inch of material. Now the display fits within the opening with the correct amount of clearance. The next item to be fitted is the volt meter which will go on the right side of the panel during the next workday.
