Brief Description: Measured Out Elevator Control Cables
Mounted the elevator to the horizontal stabilizer with four hinge pins. Place a cable sleeve on the 3/16 inch cable spool end and looped the end back through the sleeve around a turnbuckle. Pulled the cable tight on the turnbuckle and crimped the sleeve next to the turnbuckle. Used the dremel tool with a cut off wheel and a steel shim to cut the excess cable end from the cable next to the sleeve. Put a second crimp in the sleeve on the end next to the cut cable. Connected the turnbuckle end of the cable to the front of the stick and measured out the length required to connect to the top of the elevator horn on the left side plus 5 additional inches. Cut the cable at length and then repeated the above procedure for the right side of the elevator. The two cables required for the bottom of the elevator were also measured and prepared in the same way.
