Brief Description: Fitting the Left Cockpit Side Panel
Mounted the wiring descriptions on the firewall for the main terminal block on the right side and the small block on the left side.
Inspected the paint on the rudder and marked it for the finished coat. Found several areas where additional sanding was required and some ironing. Going to need to do some spot painting with the primer to touch up some areas before the finish coats of paint can be applied.
Marked the cutout for the left side step support bracket on the cockpit side panel. Cut the slot into the side panel 5 1/2 inches deep to fit over the bracket. Marked the aileron cutout for the pulley assembly and using a 3 inch hole saw removed the material around the pulley. Trimmed the leading edge right edge to allow the panel clearance at the fuselage. Fitted the side panel and found two contact points which were marked. Removed the panel and trimmed the marked areas. Still need to cut the hole for the top aileron cable to pass through. A task for another work day.
