Removed the seat bottom after marking it at the locations where the seat belt anchors hit the seat. Used a jig saw and removed material from both sides to clear the attachment points. Installed the seat pan back in the fuselage and tested the fit again. Found that the center section was hitting the center seat belt attachment point and marked for material removal. Again tested the fitting of the seat and found it acceptable. Removed the seat and using triple-ott steel wool sanded down the seat. Wiped the seat clean and applied a coat of varnish to the top and edges. Left to dry on the work bench.
Removed the right hand throttle bracket and marked it for the addition of edge flanges on the forward end. Mounted the bracket in the brake and set it so that the forward third of the bracket would contain a flange about 1/2 inch wide. Made the 90 deg bends and mounted the bracket back on the fuselage. Connected the throttle arm and the cable and tested it movement.
Removed the belly pan and cut three holes for access to the oil drain, fuel drain, and the gascolator drain. Sanded out each hole until smooth. Reinstalled the belly pan and checked the alignment on all drains.
