Brief Description:  Continued Work on Mounting Lower Left Wing

Removed 5 inches of fabric from the trailing edge inside corner of the lower left wing by folding it back under the wing. Used the angle grinder to remove 3/8 inch from the trailing edge corner. Applied glue to the removed fabric. Applied fabric tape to the end of the trailing edge. Applied glue to the open area on the wing and wrapped the fabric back over the wing rib. Applied a length of 3 inch tape over the cut in the wing and glued it in place.

Removed about 4 inches of fabric from the outer trailing edge of the left wing stub. Drilled out the rivet in the end of the wing rib and slid it to the inside by 1/2 inch. Drilled a new 1/8 inch hole in the trailing edge and installed a 1/8 inch pop rivet holding the outer rib in place. Used the angle grinder to remove a 1/2 inch segment from the trailing edge of the wing stub.

Mounted the wing back on the struts from the wing stub. Worked on the front mounting hole and used a punch to complete the final alignment. Installed a 1/4 inch ball pin in the front main spar securing the wing to the fuselage. Slid the aft spar over the aft connection point. Completed the alignment by the use of a 10 inch punch and a AN4 bolt. Took some effort to get the aft bolt into the spar. Secured the bolt with a self-locking tap.
