Brief Description:  Mounted the Top Left Wing

Raised the tail of the aircraft until it was setting level using a digital level on the front longeron. Incrementally raised the top left wing until it was level with the center wing section by raising one end of cross brace by a foot or so and then moving to the other end and repeating the process. Moved the wing until it was within three inches of the center wing. Trimmed the air speed and static air tubing to fit together using "shark" connectors to complete the connections. Connected the AOA signal cable to the plug in the end of the left wing. Applied a light coat of lanolin to the center wing section spars. Mated up the front and rear spars and using a tie down strap to pull the spars together by about 1/16 inch to fit the spars together. Slid the wing fully up against the center wing section. Checked the alignment of the front mounting hole and again used the tie down strap to hold the left wing against the center wing section keeping the mounting holes aligned. Slid the 1/4 by 4 inch ball bearing pin through the forward spar connecting the left wing to the center wing section. Checked the alignment of the aft spat mounting hole and adjusted the position to complete the alignment. Fount that the fabric had bent the reinforcement brace that was next to the spar creating a miss alignment of the mounting hole with the hole in the aft spar. Used the 90 degree attachment with the drill and redrilled the 1/4 inch hole through the brace. Installed an AN4 bolt through the aft spar connecting the wing to the center section. Connected each of the lift cables to the top left wing leaving the cable loose until the wings are completed installed.

Had Bill and Keith help me move the lower left wing into the stands in preparation of installing the wing during the next work day.
