Brief Description: Building the Lower Left Aileron Forward Spar
Slid the front aileron spar in place and set it against the wing ribs. Set the outer end over the end 1/2 inch pipe and drilled and installed a 1/8 inch pop rivet. Measured and trimmed an L bracket to fit across the wing rib. Set an L bracket in place against the spar on the inside of the last wing rib at the end of the wing. Drilled and installed two 1/8 inch pop rivets on the top wing rib, two into the aileron spar and two into the bottom wing rib. Installed an L bracket down the aileron on the remaining four wing ribs keeping all L brackets on the inside of the aileron. Cut, formed and installed end gussets at each wing rib using two 1/8 inch pop rivets on the top and bottom and one 1/8 inch pop rivet on the end. Used the angle grander to remove the segment of 1/2 inch pipe between the aft wing spar and the aileron spar.
