Brief Description: Install Trailing Edge and Wing Tip
Cut the end of the aileron front spar to remove two pie shaped segments allowing the ends to be collapse to a 1/2 inch gap. Slid the aileron spar into the wing ribs behind the aft wing spar. Installed L brackets on the back side of the aileron spar fixing each bracket to the wing ribs and aileron spar with 1/8 inch pop rivets. Cut a 2 X3 inch strap in half and wrapped it around the trailing edge of the wing rib at the end of the aileron. Drilled a 1/8 inch hole through the end strap and through the wing rib. Secured the strap to a wing rib. Aligned a 1/2 inch aluminum pipe and drilled a hole through the strap and the trailing edge. Installed two 1/8 inch pop rivets in the top and bottom sides of the strap. Bent the end of the trailing edge pipe around the end of the wing tip. Fixed one end of the trailing edge to the end of the aileron spar with a 1/8 inch pop rivet. Cut and formed a extension of the aft wing spar to the end of the aileron. Formed the wing tip 1/2 inch pipe to fit from the front of the wing to the aft spar extension. Secured in place with three 1/8 inch pop rivets in the leading edge of the wing and two 1/8 inch pop rivets in the aft spar extension. Continued down the aileron trailing edge installing the strap at each wing rib.
