Brief Description: Mounting the Center Wing Section
Riveted a set of S5 plates to one end of each of the S3 and S4 cabines with three 3/16 inch pop rivets for each plate. Placed a cabine end with the plates next to the main spar on the compression strut. Drilled a 3/16 inch through the cabine end with the plates and through the compression strut next to the front spar. Bolted the cabine to the compression strut with an AN3-16a bolt. Installed the remaining cabines to the compression struts in the same way.
Constructed a wood frame over the fuselage using two by fours to support the center wing section. Moved the center wing section from the shop loff to the main floor. Positioned the center wing section on the wood frame. Checked the measurements for height from the fuselage and the amount of overhang for the front edge. The wood frame will have to be adjusted to meet the measurements required by the drawing.
