Brief Description: Center Wing Section Construction
Laid out the wing ribs on the form provided for the construction of wing ribs on the edge of the work table. Set the nose form so the there is 3 inches from the main spar to the end of the wing rib. Secured a forming block to the table for the last minute adjustment of the top and bottom pipes of the wing rib. Laid out the top rib on the form and compared the lay of the rib to the underlining drawing. Adjusted the bend of the rib as necessary to conform to the template. Secured the nose bracket to the top and bottom wing tubes with four 1/8 inch pop rivets. Secured the main spar bracket to the wing ribs with four 1/8 inch pop rivets. Secured the tail end of the rib with one 5/8 by 1/8 pop rivet. Mounted the first wing rib onto the center section at the end using two 1/8 inch pop to attached the wing rib to the main spar. Add the tail end bracket next to the aft spar and secured it in place with two 1/8 inch pop rivets. Constructed two more wing ribs as described above.
