Brief Description:  Wing Stub Ribs Right Side

Cut an L shaped shim from a 1/2 inch wide nylon block and rounded the upright end. Attached the shim to the spar cross brace under the aileron crossover cable about 2 inches from the spar. This provides clearance for the turnbuckle at the wing root.

Created three L brackets form scrap .025 aluminum totaling about 16 inches long. Clamped one length of L bracket to the front spar of the wing stub. Positioned the wing rib at the end of the wing stub and marked the L bracket for trimming. Removed the bracket and cut to length smoothing all edges. Positioned the wing rib aligned at the front edge and the top leaving about a 3/8 inch gap between the two wing ribs. Secured the bracket to the wing rib using three 1/8 inch pop rivets at the top and bottom. Rechecked the alignment between the ribs and then secured the bracket to the forward wing stub with two 1/8 inch pop rivets. Repeated the process for the aft wing stub bracket.
