Brief Description: Completion of Seat and Bagage Frame
Measured the length from the center of the seat back frame to station F17 at the same level as the seat on the right side. Repeated the measurement for the left side. Cut two lengths of 1/2 inch steel tubing per measurements and gaped each end to fit the frames. Spot welded each brace in place. Checked the alignment and position of the braces and then tig welded each in place.
Fabricated two anchor points for the shoulder harness by cutting two 4 inch segments from a 1/4 inch diameter steel rod. Bent each into a U shaped fixture. Fitted one on the right side of the fuselage at the top of F17. Had to open the U about a 1/2 inch and remove a 1/4 inch from each leg of the U for a good position. Spot welded the U in place on the right side. Fitted the left side and spot welded it in place. Tig welded each anchor in place on the inside of the fuselage.
Cleaned all of the welding points with a steel brush and painted each with black primer paint.
