Cut each stub to 3 1/2 inches and ground one end at the angle required for the landing gear strut. Tested mounted each stub to the frame and adjusted as necessary for correct fit. Tact welded each stub to the frame and rechecked positioning. Tig welded each stub to the frame. Cleaned each weld and checked for correct penetration of the weld.
