Brief Description: Welding The Center Wing Attachment Studs
Marked the position for each of the top stubs on the fuselage. Cut each of the four th one inch pipes to 3 inches long using the chop saw. Ground each of the ends to remove burrs. Ground one end of each pipe to fit on the longeron with a 5 degree tilt forward. Spot welded each stub to the longeron location marked for the stub. Double checked the position of each stub to ensure correct positioning. Tig welded each stub to the longeron. Wire brushed each stub weld and inspected for completion. Rewelded any areas that appeared lightly covered.
Removed the rudder bars and brackets. Marked each of the legs of the bracket and center punched for three holes on each. Drilled each mark with a 1/2 inch drill and sanded the edges smooth. Set aside for installing later.
