Brief Description: Installation of Left Foot Channels
Tig welded four additional tabs to the fuselage for the left channels. Cut one of the dumb bell steel tabs in half and welded each end to the fuselage on the center line for the control assembly to be bolted too. Aligned the left foot channel with the right channel and clamped it in place. Drilled a 3/16 inch hole in the channel through the tabs on the fuselage. Bolted the front of the channel to the fuselage with a AN3 bolt also holding the rudder bracket in place. Repeated for the other channel. Measured the distant for the bracing on each rudder bracket and cut a length of 3/8 inch tubing to fit. Heated each end of the aluminum tubing and mashed them flat. Drilled a 3/16 inch hole in each end and bolted the brace to the rudder bracket and the foot channel with AN3 bolts. Repeated for the other three braces.
