Brief Description: Continued Welding on Wing Stubs
Tack welded the right side wing stubs. Checked each stub for level and square to the fuselage and adjusted as needed. See image 1.
Rechecked the left side aft wing stub for level and square to the fuselage. Started the welding on the aft stub by tacking at both the top and bottom. Completed welding around the end to the fuselage. Also welded around the bottom strap that extended under the fuselage on the cross member. See image 3.
Rechecked the left main wing stub for square and level. Spot welded the bottom of the main stub to the fuselage. Again check level and square to the fuselage. Completed welding around the end of the stub to the fuselage. Marked and trim the angle brace to fit the main spar and fuselage. Cut a 2 1/4 X 1/2 inch strap for the bottom of the angle. Welded the strap to the fuselage end at the base of the angle brace forming a "T". Clamped the angle to the stub and checked fit. Welded the angle to the stub and fuselage. The bottom strap is still to be welded tomorrow. See Image 2.
