Brief Description:  Forward Fuselage Covering

Put a 2" brake on the left side bent at about 60 degrees. Measured from the firewall to the forward left wing strut and marked the sheet for the initial cutout for the strut. Did a preliminary fitting and repeated deeping the cutout about 1/4". Put a laser on the forward top fuselage mounting hole, aligned the sheet and drilled a 3/16 hole. Bolted the sheet to the fuselage and moved to the right side and repeated the measurement and cutout for the strut. Again conducted a series of fittings and adjustments until the alignment was completed. Marked the right side of the sheet at the break point to fit the frame. Completed another 60 degree bend and then marked the right side for a 2" hangover. Removed the excess material. Marked and drilled the center mounting point and then the forward point.

Removed the wood side panels and sanded the top and bottom outside edges for a smoother transition.

Marked the center point 5" back from the firewall as the starting point for the center bump. Run a line to the right and left sides of the center bump. Drilled a 3/16 hole at the apex of the triangle formed by the lines. Removed the material marked. Put a 5/8" brake about 20 degrees on the left side of the material for the bump. Drilled and cleo'ed the bump to the left side of the forward fuselage cover. Put the forward fuselage covering back on the airplane for a fitting of the bump. Marked the bump material at the intercept point with the right side. Removed the bump and added 5/8" to the line for the cut. Completed the cut and put a 20 degree brake on the right side of the bump covering. End of day.

Evening work - researched circuit breaker and ordered a set on ebay.
