I measured and marked profiles GG and HH on the left side aft spacer. I used a utility knife to cut out the open segment then I used a hack saw to cut the ramp up to the aft end. I used the utility knife to carefully remove material to make a rough slope then I used a piece of LAST-A-FOAM to sand the slope.
I vacuumed the pieces, the fuselage sides and the table work area and turned the heat up to 25 deg C. The humidity level was 30%.
I mixed a batch of micro slurry: 32g L335 epoxy resin with 12g H340S hardner + 1 spoon of microspheres.
Using a squeegee I applied the micro slurry to both fuselage sides and to the mating surfaces of the beveled pieces and positioned the pieces on the fuselage sides. I applied pressure to both pieces and wiped away any excess micro with paper towels. I used 2 nails in each piece to temporarily hold the surfaces together and I placed weights on both pieces while they cure.
I ran out of micro slurry part way through so I made 2 other batches: 38g resin 14g hardner + 1 sp microspheres 36g resin 14g hardner + 1 sp microspheres
