Brief Description:  Back Window - backing

The backing strip for the rear window seamed simple enough. AGH!

The directions say use some scrap .025 material. Unless you make the backing into a number of small strips, it takes a BIG piece of .025. I ended up using one of the front canopy skins I had goofed up. (I have ordered THREE)

The idea is simple, but it took a heck of a lot of cutting. I ended up making three pieces for the backing. (The two side curves and the middle.) I'm sure there is an easier way, but I used tin snips to cut out the pieces. I did a rough cut first, then trimmed to the lines. When I was finished I used a file to get the pieces to match the skin.

The only thing left to do was drill the holes.

NEXT TIME I WILL WHERE GLOVES (I have cuts and scapes all over my hands and arms from the metal.)
