This evening I fabricated a cover for the canopy channel. I'm plannin to attach a baggage compartment light and a red panel light in the cover. (I've read builder logs of a number of other people who made the same cover.)
- I used aluminum from the old trim tab - trimmed to size - marked holes - drilled cover - drilled holes into the channel - clecoed in nutplates for pattern - drilled holes for nutplates - deburred - countersunk rivet holes - squeezed nutplate rivets
I also started fabricating angle brackets that will hold a bar to hold a hanger or two...
