When I was at Vans last week, I picked up two mounting brackets. One for the ELT (left side) and the strobe unit (right side). This afternoon I dug into the installation.
I talked to the Vans employee who installed the first one of these kits. (It wasn't pre-drilled at the time.)
I installed the nut-plates and deburred everything. The only tricky part was drilling the bracket to the fuselage. I used a corner drill for the top, but it was too short for the bottom. I drilled with a smaller bit and then enlarged after removing the bracket.
