When I was cleaning things up a few weeks ago, I came across the manual aileron trim installation kit. It has been sitting on the table just asking me to install it. So, this evening I started.
Construction details - - Drilled #10 holes through block (side and bottom) - Notched the block for friction adjustment - Chamfered edge of block so it fits into trim bracket - Trimmed size of trim bracket - Drilled bracket using floor plate as guide - Drilled for nutplates - countersunk - Drilled rear holes using floor plate as guide - Drilled for nutplates - countersunk - Coutersunk 10R18 screw (Major countersinking) - Drilled center hole for weldment
Still need to enlarge hole, squeeze rivets into nutplates, remove nutplates from seat ribs, put everything together, and install temporarily in floor. (Hmmm... I guess I also need to drill a 1/2 inch hole in the floor plate.)
