I decided to buy differnet vent adapters. The plastic one that comes with the RV kit seem pretty cheap. I did some research and ordered new machined aluminum vents from Experimental Air. They sell the vents and a bracket designed specifically for the RV. I'm extremely pleased with them. I ordered them from: www.experimentalair.com. ($120 each with bracket)
First order of business was bending the bracket. Measured the correct distance and bent them as per instructions using the vice and a rubber mallet. The left one came out perfect, the right one was about 1/16 of an inch off. (Screw for panel)
- Drilled, countersunk, and deburred nutplate attach point. - Squeezed nutplate rivets - Drilled and countersunk attach holes. - Used rivet gun to attach bracket - Checked fitting with panel
