This evening I worked on the fiberglass rudder bottom. The pattern to cut is shown lightly on the fiberglass. Before I cut, I wanted to make sure the pattern was correct. So, I cut a paper pattern from the slight etching on the rudder bottom. Sure enough, the pattern was very close.
I used the SonicCrafter to cut the fiberglass. I clamped a piece of metal to the form and followed it. The only tricky part was the notch. I used one of the other blades to do a plunge cut.
