Brief Description:  Rudder Fiberglass Tip

The rudder tip was basically like the elevator tips. I trimmed the fiberglass to size with the SonicCrafter. Then, drilled the holes using the rudder hole pattern. Next, I cut and drilled the aluminum backing strips. Clecoed the whole thing together and drilled the holes larger. (Through the rudder into the tip. When all the holes were done, I glued the aluminum strips onto the tip and clamped the heck out of them.

I came up with a simple trick for drilling the aluminum strips. I usually hold the strip with my finger. (Being careful not to drill a whole in my finger.) This time, I used a small piece of wood to drill into.
