Brief Description:  Preparing for elevator horn - pushrod connection

I removed the bolts holding the horizontal stabilizer on the fuselage. Then moved the stab over to the bench and installed the elevators again. I started with the horn down (rightside up) but ended up turning the whole assembly over. Then lined up the trailing edges and the ends, looked closely at the horns. The right one is slightly aft. (That's the one I'll drill)

I was tempted to drill the first hole this evening... but it was getting late and I was getting tired. It is another SUPER IMPORTANT hole and it needs to be right. So, I'm going to wait until I'm fresh.

The distance between the horns is exactly 3/4 of an inch. I piece of plywood will work perfect for aligning the holes.

Before I headed home, I studied the plans for the bolt through the center bearing and the connection to the pushrod. It looks like all the pieces are within the tolerances Van's recommends.
