Brief Description:  Upper cowl firewall hinge epxoxied to the cowl

I was concerned about the cold temps affecting the cure of my epoxy (temps in hangar fown to 40 at night) so I brought the cowl home with me yesterday along with most everything Id need to epoxy on the hinge and shims and then rivit. Well.........I forgot the rivits! Anyway, I made batch of epoxy with cotton flox and cabosil and applied to the shims and the hinge and then clecoed in place. I was going to counter sink first so that I could rivit after. Since I didnt have the rivits, I will just let the epoxy set up and countersink and rivit at the shop.
If you notice in pic one, The bigger holes in shims are 3/16 and made for extra epoxy grip
The extra holes in hinge are from first cowl fitting and wont have rivits. Instead I can use them for grip holes with epoxy too.
I used the left over epoxy mix on the cowl surface where the voids are.
