Brief Description: Intercom wire harness prep and Pilot headphone jac
1. Installed the 4 post AMP terminal block to the rt side aft baggage bulkhead using two CS 4-4 rivits. 2. Labled three of the posts as depicted in dwg op-14 for intercom wire harness install 3. Reviewed instructions for the harness. Verified that the wire RZ12 was not connected to both pin 16 and 17. Found it only connected to 17 and other end free to use if change in operation desired later. I simply heated some shrink tube to the end and bundled with other wires. I also had to clip the end off RZ14 wire and did the same as RZ12. 4. Pulled the supplied 1/2 inch shrink tube on the bundled wires up close to the D sub pin body and heat shrunk it. I then attached the strain relief clamp about the bundlel and assembled the hood body around it all. 5. Performed a continuity check of each pin and wire end to insure I didnt pull a wire from the dsub pin while assembling the connector body. 6. Separated the wires in the harness into groups acording to where they go, laced the bundles together and labled. It is now ready for installation into the airframe. 7. Decided on the aft side of the right gear tower for the pilot headphone jacks and switch. I spent plenty of time picking a location for the three holes to go that would not be too close to the fuel vent line or the brake line inside the tower. I then masked the area with tape, drew a vertical line, marked the center locations for the 3 holes, punched and drilled to the diameters called for on page 4 of installation manual. Ready for the wire.
