Brief Description: Tighten all the brake line fittings
Cut a cheap 9/16 wrench so that I could better acces the fittings in the gear leg wells where the brake line bulkhead fitting resides. It works well and was able to tighten up.
Moved on to the same fittings inside the gear tower. Not so simple! Used claws foot and the special wrench and extensions and a little swearing to get the nuts on inside gear tower tightened up. When finished, I put a dab of torque seal on them.
Removed the brake line from the brake sylinder on left side and installed a fitting with a air stem. I had purchased these a while back from some automotive racing place on line. After Installed, I set pressure on air tank to 25 pounds and hooked to the brake line to check for leaks. I heard air comming from the vent in brake resivoir first so I plugged it and tried again. This time I heard air from the plastic lines that enter the tops of the master cylinders. These are low pressure lines on top and probably are expected to not leak under pressure. The rest of the system seemed ok. Tried at 10 pounds and heard no air escaping. I need to cut the plasctic lines a little shorter anyway and so Ill see if I can get any better seal next time.
