Brief Description: Redo the 696 mount bracket, the rudder leading edg
The angle brackets I had made for the 696 in panel were not that great. Yhey had a couple of oval shaped holes and still the gizmo mount didnt sit perfectly flush. So I cut some new angles on the band saw and drilled new holes for the mount. Successfuly this time. I clamped in place on panel and match drilled the rivit holes. I also cut some material from the rt side angle to clear the gauges as before. Will check to se if everything fits next time.
The rudder leading edge bend was done last year but the overlapping skin seam inside was wavy and looked terible! I was going to leave it alone since the seam on out side looked just fine but I couldnt stand knowing that it was less than ideal and probably not real secure. So I drilled out the rivits. I worked the bend some by hand and the took my seam roller and hand seamer to work the inner skin edge so that it woud lay flush under the overlapping skin when rivited. I also used a section of angle to reach in and push the skin tight against the other while Brenda rivited. The wavyness is mostly gone now and the skins should now be propery secured with rivits
