Brief Description: Transponder and 696 angle brackets
1. Cut anothe length of angle for the left side of xponder and 696. The one inch angle is too wide on this side too and had to be cut douwn 3/4" along the length. Hack saw did the trick but a band saw would have saved much time and aggrivation here. Once cut I drilled the 2 mounting holes on that side for the xponder tray. Bolted on the tray and test fit.
2. With the angle and xponder held in place with clamps, I positioned the 696 mount and marked the 4 hole locations for drilling. The first hole I used an angke drill and stub bit and tried to drill in place. Manged to break another bit too! Spent awhile trying to fix that error. Once I had it out I drilled for # 8 screw and then test fit again. Now it looks as though the hole needs to be about 1/32 to 1/16 too high for proper alignment. I will need to elongate this hole slightly and then hopefully will have better luck on the other 3 tomorrow.
