Brief Description: Cut vent and intercom holes in panel side skirts
Set the drill press up with a wood base and secured a test piece of aluminum to it to try out some circle cuts with the man killer. Set the speed to 500 rpm and made some practice cuts. When I was happy with the adjustments, I made the hole cut for the air vent. Cleaned up the hole edge and then marked for drill locations for the srews and then drilled for # 8 screws. On the rt side I cut the hole for the flightcom intercom plate. Marked the screw hole locations with a jig and drilled #27 for #6 screws.
Spent some time figuring how I want to run the pitot line into the fuse from the wing. I had planed on running some tygon tube with 1/4" ID but have decided to use only a short piece as a junction between the 1/4 od aluminum line to a a line similar to the static line from Vans. It will be a simple fit and very uncomplicated. I will order some more line for this.
I also need to order some hardware to mount the steam gauges
