Brief Description: Finish kit arrival and inventory
Today my finish kit arrived. While I waited at the hangar for it this morning, I spent 1.5 hours putting together some sturdy saw horses that I got from Harbor freight the other day. I plan to use them to support the fuselage during wing fitting when I get to that point. At noon the 288 pound box arrived. We off loaded it on to two flat roller dollies. Thankfully they had a lift gate on this truck or we would have had trouble. A couple of guys from the FBO came to help us. Thanks Tom And Andy!! Then I realized that I didnt have a flat pry bar in the hangar. Argg!!! After thousands of dollars spent on tools for this project, I again had to buy another! After a trip to the harware store and a lunch stop, I tore in to the crate and carefuly removed the parts. Slowly another pile of paper and cardboard grew beside the crate but we got everything out and inspected for damage. I couldnt see any problems. I then relinquished the task of inventory over to my wife who will do this and also put all the hardware in the drawers and then lable them for me. I removed all the staples from the box top and stored the box in the hangar back. Id like to use it as either a shelving unit or as another work table. Now I need to start planning my next move. Yay!!
