!. Dimpled all the rivit holes in the aft upper skin. Used the pneumatic squeezer for the peremeter holes and then the DRDT2 dimpler for the others. After I finished I realized I had forgotten to put a slight bend in the L and R edges so that the skin will fit tight on the underlying fuselage skin. This will make it a bit more difficult but dooable I hope.
2. Rivited on the two harness fairleads to the back of the upper bulkhead 807B-1 and then I rivited on the canopy slide rail guide bracket on the same side. This bracket has a flange that was not reachable with my squeezer yokes but after bending it out to 90 degree I could reach it and rivit it. Then it was just a matter of bending it back some and clecoing the other two sides down and then riviting them. Rivited on a couple of plate nuts to the next bulkhead.
3. Cleaned the previous primered surfaces in forward fuse area and then sprayed another coat of the primer. After it dried I removed the masking tape. I believe I will just leave it this way for the rest of the build. Note: I did not primer the insde of the firewall. I'm not sure it would stick well enough and I worry about the heat causing a smell.
